It is almost that time of the year again. Exams are over, there is no new semester to start and you finally have some free time. That’s right, it’s almost time for the holidays! Time to enjoy the summer and get some new energy before you start yet another year of school. But how do we do that? Let’s look at some of the trends in the travel industry.
‘What do you want to do after school?’ This is a question they start asking you when you are very little. The answer used to be something like a firefighter, princess, professional football player, astronaut etc. But the older you get, the more serious they expect your answer to be. I have found that this is one of the most difficult questions to answer. To help solve the problem of not knowing what to do (and I’ll admit, to postpone my decision for a year), I decided to do an internship.
It is almost December! December is one of my favourite months. I’ll admit, I’m not a big fan of the cold and the rain. What I do love though is Sinterklaas, Christmas and New Year’s. Just spending time with family and friends. It is the month of celebrations and the month of giving. One of the big events in the Netherlands is the glass house of 3FM Serieus Request, where everybody listens to music and donates money. Last year they collected an amount of 8.466.249 euros! But why do we donate money to charity?
In the past couple of weeks the Nobel Prize has been in the news a lot. First because the Nobel Prize for Chemistry was won by someone from the Netherlands. Then because the Nobel Prize in literature was awarded to Bob Dylan. But what about the prize for Economic Sciences?
